Part-Time Poet
Writing is cathartic. But penning lyrical poetry, that is my jam.
Un-Love
Tell me how you did it.
I need to know, and why.
Did your feelings stow away
over time and tide?
Tell me how you steeled your heart.
How you erased memories.
How you willed such restful sleep
when lying next to me.
Because -
I tried my best to shut you out
from my mind, my feeds, my friends.
Replacing you with bad decisions
every night, at every chance.
So tell me how you did it,
it's my final plea.
Oh, have mercy! Won't you say
how you came to un-love me.

Timing
The concept of time is so underrated.
You can make it or keep it, or believe that it's fated.
But when seen in relation, as a matter of fact -
Time is the enemy you can't stop or turn back.
1,000
A thousand times hello, me dear.
A thousand times goodnight.
A thousand ways to keep you near
when darkness steals the light.
A thousand kisses, neck to ear
and embraces warm and tight.
A thousand promises, sincere;
so gentle and polite.
A thousand suns will forge the years,
our futures' clear and bright.
The pain once harboured, disappears.
Your love - my heart's respite.
Poetry In Motion
I think in terms of poems
so life becomes less grey
I live everyday
always rhyming away
in thoughts of love for him.
The Other Half
Just like an old movie,
you move me.
Just like our thoughts,
we're linked.
More alike than twins,
where I end
you begin
because everything's perfectly synced.
